Response To Intervention

Response to Intervention is a model of school supports that uses research-based academic and/or behavioral interventions. The RTI process begins with high-quality instruction of all children in the general education class. Struggling learners are provided with interventions at increasing levels of intensity to accelerate their rate of learning. Students who receive Tier II intervention receive extra help daily from their regular classroom teacher. Students who receive Tier III intervention will receive extra support from their regular classroom teacher in addition to help from a certified intervention teacher.
